Two weeks ago we we lucky enough to go to Len Lye and Puke Ariki. We learnt about Len Lye artworks and his use of light and sound.
Rebecca showed us around. We first exploded the art gallery.
We then went into the Large Works gallery. We saw the amazing fountains.
We explored the sound and movement of the artwork.
Then we went to see "Universe". It made a huge noise.
We made music. We had to keep a slow beat and then a fast beat.
We also saw the Len Lye movies.
One of our favourite pieces was "grass".
We then went into the education classroom to make our own musical instruments.
It was an amazing day!!
