Last day of term one

I can't believe it is the end of term one already! I have had a fabulous term and want to thank you all for making me feel so welcome. The students of Room 3 have been working so hard. I love their keenness to learn and their curiosity. 

We're going to finish off the term with a swim (if the weather is as nice as it is today). Please, if you don't want your child to swim that is ok. They will still do something fun while the others are swimming. 

And if the weather is terrible, we will play a game inside instead.

I'm doing running records again at the moment. You may see new levels of books coming home next term.  You should be seeing Race to the Treasure cards in your child's book bag either this week or early term two.  Play games using these cards and practice them whenever you can. 

I'll be scheduling six-year net meetings in term 2. These are quick meetings to go through the six year net tests some students have completed. Keep an eye out for a letter early in term 2. 

Thanks so much again for your support for a great term. The kids are all yours for two weeks :)
