This week we're beginning a new routine in our spelling notebooks. Tomorrow students will have a "sound for the week" graphic in their notebooks. This will let you know what blend we are studying. There are a few things you could do at home to support learning at school... Point out all the objects in the house that have this blend. Play Eye Spy with the blend. Make up silly songs.
So.... The blend for this week is Ch.
You can look at words with this at the beginning, middle or end: as in chicken, teacher or ditch.
This week's language experience is all about the change in the weather. We learnt what a meteorologist is. We're going to observe the weather this week. By the way... If anyone has a rain gauge at home that you're not using, we'd love one. We're hoping to collect weather data and then graph it over time.
